Winter, Daylight Saving Time, St. Patrick’s Day

Winter is Back!

Well, Winter isn’t done with us yet, is it? Hopefully, everyone remembered to leave their faucets dripping last night – again – to prevent their pipes from freezing. We all need to do that again tonight since low temperatures are expected to reach anywhere from 21 degrees to the mid-teens. Yikes! But highs by Monday of next week – the official first day of Spring – are supposed to return to the 60’s. The roller coaster ride continues…enjoy!

Daylight Saving Time

Yes, daylight saving time returned over the weekend and everyone spent their Sunday morning changing the clocks on all of their appliances, gadgets, etc. How’s this working for you? Most of us either love it or hate it. And if you hate it, of course, the tables will turn in November when we turn all of our clocks back again!

St. Patrick’s Day is Coming…

Mardi Gras is over and St. Patrick’s Day will be here on Friday. Do you know who St. Patrick was or why the holiday was started? Celebrated since the 17th century the holiday recognizes St. Patrick – one of Ireland’s patron saints who built the first Irish church. It also celebrates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and the culture of the Irish. So don’t forget to wear your best “greens” on Friday and go ahead – tell everyone you’re Irish!
